Koala Brothers is a high quality stop motion animation series for pre-schoolers, with 26 x 10 min episodes per series.
 
Unanico has successfully sold Koala Brothers Series 1, 2 and 3 to Tencent Video and Mango TV, two of the largest online streaming platforms in China.
 
Koala Brothers follows the adventures of two koalas, Frank and Buster, whose mission in life is to help others. From their isolated homestead in the Australian outback, they fly out on daily patrol in their yellow aeroplane, looking for anyone in need of help. The series shows the true value of friendship and caring for others.
 
Koala Brothers is the winner of two BAAs (British Animation Awards-for Best Pre-school Series and the Writer’s Award for Dave Ingham) and the EMIL Award (Germany) for Best Children’s Programme. It has been nominated four times for a BAFTA (The British Academy of Film And Television Arts Award) for Best Pre-school Animation.

Jason Jameson is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Unanico Group. Jason studied at the prestigious Royal College of Art, graduating with an Animation Masters, and has over 15 years of experience in concept and character development, design and animation direction. Jason is currently working on Unanico Creative Content’s own family focused original IPs, which include Buddi, Melody Makers and Kananga (long-form series) and The Robin & The Fir Tree (short film). Jason wrote and directed Unanico Creative Content’s award-winning stereoscopic 3D CGI animated short film One Night In Hell, and is co-writing and co-directing its animated feature spin-off. Jason and the team provided all the animation for Season 1 and Season 2 of Three Stones Media’s live-action/animation mix series Apple Tree House that was commissioned by CBeebies. Jason is the lead talent of Unanico Creative Content.

Paul Laikin is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Unanico Group. Paul is a former lawyer who represented Paramount, Universal and Disney, before transitioning to animation and live-action film production. Paul currently specialises in international film co-production. Paul is a multi-lingual, award-winning producer and screenwriter, following a 2014 WGA Award screenplay nomination for the acclaimed documentary drama No Place On Earth. Paul is co-producing and co-writing Unanico Entertainment’s music-driven animated feature spin-off of One Night In Hell alongside Queen’s Brian May and the team behind Fantastic Mr. Fox and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. Paul speaks French, German, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian and Mandarin Chinese.

Leanne Preston is CEO of Unanico Group, based in Los Angeles and has over fourteen years’ experience working in the kids and family entertainment business across both the creative and business sides. Starting out her career at Nickelodeon, Leanne worked in the London office on the development and production of global original content, including BAFTA nominated series House of Anubis, before transitioning to the independent producer side, as Head of Development for Red Kite. There she oversaw shows such as ‘Ella Bella Bingo’, sold to 20+ countries and the DreamWorks Classics property ‘George of the Jungle’ for Teletoon in Canada, sold to 125+ countries worldwide. Leanne later founded Bright Box Creative and worked with Chinese broadcasters Toonmax Media and CCTV to develop content for Chinese and international audiences as well as working with producer clients across the globe. Also a writer and story editor, Leanne developed, story edited and wrote scripts for international preschool show Emmy & GooRoo, distributed by Jetpack. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2015 Leanne has worked with Citizen Skull Productions, Gaumont as a Development Executive and as Associate Producer on the new Lego City Adventures series for Nickelodeon. Most recently, Leanne was VP Production for Indian studio Digitoonz, building on their North American and European business and as Director of Content and Business Development for Left Pocket Studio in Shanghai.

Naima Vogt is the Production Manager and Business Development Executive at Unanico Group. Naima began her career in New York City, where she gained valuable experience working on drama series, feature-length documentaries, and short digital documentaries for entities such as Netflix, CNN Films, The New York Times, and The Wellcome Trust. Naima worked as Associate Producer & Archival Producer on the Sierra/Tango & CNN Films documentary, Unseen Enemy, and subsequently managed the film development and distribution plans for Sierra/Tango Productions. Naima is passionate about animation production, documentary filmmaking, content development, distribution and acquisitions, as well as black & white film photography. Naima is Brazilian-Canadian and holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in International Development with minors in Philosophy and Psychology. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and French.
